INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE YOUR PRF EZ GEL TREATMENT

2-3 WEEKS BEFORE:

  • Schedule your appointment at least 2-3 weeks prior to a special event you’re attending such as a wedding or vacation.

  • No dental work 2 weeks prior to your treatment.

1 WEEK BEFORE:

  • Avoid supplements such as Fish Oil/Omega 3, Ginko, St. Johns Wort, and anti-inflammatories of any kind to limit bruising.

72 HOURS BEFORE:

  • Cease blood thinners - NSAIDs, Aspirin, etc. (*Unless medically necessary and/or Dr. prescribed)

  • Cease retinol or other active ingredient products

  • Start oral Arnica - Arnica is an herbal homeopathic supplement that has been shown to decrease bruising and bleeding. This may increase your healing time if you are prone to these side effects.

  • To lessen your chance of irritation & redness, pause the use of Retinol & exfoliating acids 3 days before your treatment & for 3 days after.

24 HOURS BEFORE:

  • Avoid alcohol intake of any kind to limit bruising.

  • If you become ill, develop a rash or cold sore please call and reschedule.

  • Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Drink at least 64 oz of water and eat a good snack before coming to prepare for the blood draw.

DAY OF:

  • Come in with a clean face

  • Make sure you eat prior to your appointment to ensure good blood sugar.

  • If you frequently exercise, complete your routine prior to your appointment.

REMINDERS:

  • We will not treat you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

AFTER YOUR PRF EZ GEL TREATMENT

DAY OF:

  • Stay upright for 4 hours - This includes holding your head downward (ie. looking at a screen on your lap)

  • Do not rub or touch the treated area. - You are ok to wash your face that evening.

  • Do not apply make-up for at least 4 hours.

  • Continue to avoid Aspirin for 2 weeks post-procedure (do NOT stop taking any prescribed anticoagulants for this procedure unless cleared by your prescribing practitioner).

  • Avoid working out, or other activities that involve heavy lifting or sweating for 24 hours. This will ensure you do not inadvertently sweat out any of the product.

  • If you are having pain or soreness, it is okay to take Tylenol (Acetaminophen) as directed per package recommendations.

24 - 48 HOURS AFTER:

  • Avoid hot baths, saunas, and steam rooms for 2 days.

  • Arica may be continued to speed up healing time. It is recommended to take Arnica till bruising clears.

REMINDERS:

  • Don't worry, the swelling will come down and the bruising will subside.

  • The treated area may feel firm when touched, this is normal.

  • Call the office immediately if the areas treated become red or hot to the touch days after treatment.

  • Call the office as soon as possible if patchy, red, or hot patches appear in the treatment area or around the treatment area, if you have severe or increasing pain, or if the area becomes red or hot to the touch after the procedure.
